Woodio is a Finnish design-oriented material technology company, founded in 2016. Design sinks and countertops made of Woodio's patented material are found in many hotels and restaurants as well as in private bathrooms and kitchens.

Woodio’s material gives a new life to Metsä Group’s underutilised side-streams. The undersized wood chips generated in wood chipping at Metsä Group mills form a potential industrial side-stream to be used in the Woodio process.
Through the Trailmaker process, Metsä Spring was able to ensure that Woodio has a realistic plan for the coming years and a capable team to implement the plan.
