Trailmaker customer: 3 Friends aims for major international growth with new strategy

3 Friends is an award-winning ice cream producer whose own “3 Kaveria” has become one of the most recommended and appreciated ice cream brands in Finland. Now they have embarked on a journey to international success. Trailmaker helped jump-start their new growth strategy.

In Finland, 3 Friends is known for their super premium ice cream products that delight consumers with their intensive taste coming from natural ingredients. But as the company aims for international success, they had to expand their business model, says CEO Jakob Hägerström.

“The big strategic change is to turn ourselves from a Finnish brand to the leading international super premium ice cream producer,” says 3 Friends’ CEO Jakob Hägersröm.

In short, this means that, alongside growing their own brand, 3 Friends will start producing super premium ice cream under licensed brands. The first steps have already been taken, and the company has big growth expectations for the next five years.

“The goals are ambitious but achievable, as they should be”, Hägerström states.

Trailmaker was brought in to help 3 Friends define the strategy and the necessary measures. With Trailmaker, 3 Friends was able to set the new strategy in motion immediately.
